Over the last 3 seasons of Glee we've seen a couple of exchange students. The first one was Charice Pempengco who played Sunshine Corazon, a student from the Philippines in the second season. Charice's character was hoping to join McKinley's glee club, New Directions, until Rachel sent her to a crackhouse and she transferred to Carmel High, McKinley's rival school. And though at the end of season 2 Rachel made up for what she had done, we never saw more of Charice's character.
Last season's foreign exchange student was Damien McGinty, one of the winners of The Glee Project, and best known as Rory Flanagan from Ireland. The plan was to have him appear on a few episodes of Glee but was later signed on for more, however after the season 3 finale it was unsure of what would be of him. During the summer there was no confirmation that he would be back but according to The Gleeksource he might just be returning to Glee after all.
