Britney 2.0

This post has been long overdue but here we go.  If you have not watched Glee's second episode "Britney 2.0" than you might want to steer away from this post, however if you just can't help it keep reading.  Last Thursday's episode was another Britney and I thought it was hilarious.  Of course one of the main characters behind this episode was Britany S. Pierce, our favorite two time Glee senior.  I loved how it portrayed her spiraling out of control such as Britney herself once did.  The "Gimme More" performance had me rolling on the floor laughing, but it wasn't all just about Britany, I loved what they did with Jake.  In fact, I thought the directors and writers were reading my mind, because the Puckerman brother had a mini family reunion, and I'll let you know one thing both brothers are the same and neither of them are going to change.  Britney Spear's song "Womanizer" revolved aroundn Jake Puckerman and his womanizing ways, and though Puck and Jake met, Puck had to dash back to Los Angeles because of a woman. And with that Marley's heart was broken, it turns out he Jake was already with the Cheerios new, feisty member Kitty (Quinn number two).  And with the subject of broken hearts we are off to New York City with Rachel.  Rachel has her heart broken not just by Finn but also by her dance instructor, who doesn't allow her to tango because she's doesn't believe Rachel is sexy enough.  In fact, she decides to prove to her dance instructor, Cassie July (Kate Hudson's character), that she is sexy and does a pretty hot number with Brody Weston. This number was Britney Spears' popular hit "Oops I did it again". And in this case Rachel did do it again, she opened her mouth to call out her dance instructor, getting herself kicked out of class.  But, everything was mended over, and Cassie July gave Rachel some advice.  The show ended with a high and low note, Marley was heart broken, and after Brody had tried to kiss Rachel, she decided that maybe it was time to move on and give somebody else a chance at winning over her heart.  That's it for now and don't forget to tune in to FOX on Thursdays to wathch Glee.

Do you still think there is hope for Jake and Marley?

Will Rachel finally fall for Brody?

Where is Finn?

Does anybody else want an episode dedicated to the Puckerman brothers?

Glee Star's Solo Albums

Over the last few months we've heard about a few Glee stars who are planning on releasing solo albums and some such as Mark Salling (Puck) and Matthew Morrison (Mr.Schue), released their solo albums a few years back.  Well, Lea Michele has finally joined some of her other co-stars and is planning on releasing her solo album.  There are still a few details such as the release date that aren't clear but don't worry you'll definitely be hearing about any new updates (I'm a devoted Lea Michele fan).  Speaking of Glee's shining star, she has also recently had a tattoo removed.  Her tattoos aren't any secret and it's reported that she has around 14 tattoos.  A few days ago she had a tattoo on her finger removed, the reasons I'm not sure but you can continue to read about her tattoo removal and some details about her solo album and about some of her other co-stars' album releases.

Did you watch it?

If you did not watch tonight's Glee season 4 premiere....DO NOT READ THIS! But if you want a bit of a spoiler than go on and read. Well, I'm not going to lie the first shocker was the Tina and Mike Chang break-up, I was sure they would last a while but I guess distance can tear a couple apart, so we'll see if things get awkward when the two reunite later in the season. I'm not going to lie I definitely have a love/hate relationship with what I and Sue Sylvester like to call "The New Quinn", she's feisty and fierce like how Quinn was but she's still pretty horrible. To add to that the new characters did not disappoint especially Dean Geyer and his abs, I mean his voice. He had a pretty great voice. Marley's storyline is a storyline I love and thought was amazing, it was something beautiful and something relatable in this economy, and as much as I want to say that she and Sam have a connection I think something is brewing between her and Jake. Ok, I read the spoilers and definitely know that they will be the next relationship, Jarley. The eye-opener to the glee club about Marley's mom was great and it was something that helped bring them back to the ground (the glee club was trying to be cool by making fun of Marley's mom, a big lunch lady). I was really excited when I saw the new bad boy Jake, and it was awesome that they didn't bring up his brother, Puck, until the end, smart move even though we kind of already knew. But hey I can't wait until, Puck, comes back, and I personally think there should be an episode where Jake tells Puck about himself. I think the scenes that made my day were the ones of Rachel Berry and Marley singing Billy Joel's New York State of Mind, both of their vocals were amazing and together they definitely dominated. But of course all good things come to an end and the episode's ending didn't end on a low note, it ended with Rachel basically having a mental break down (you would too, if you had an alcoholic, mean dance teacher like Kate Hudson's character) and her best bud being there for her, Kurt. Yes, Kurt is following his dream and is now in New York, I was on the verge of tears when Burt Hummel, Kurt's dad, drove him to the train station and said his goodbyes. Though Kurt didn't see it his dad was starting to cry and I almost broke down with him. The next time we see Kurt we'll see him and Rachel moving in and struggling to make their Broadway dreams come true. So, for now just keep calm and wait until next Thursday when we get to watch the "Britney 2.0" episode, the second tribute episode to Britney Spears.  Good bye for now, and keep reading for more blog posts, spoilers, and don't be afraid to comment.

ONE DAY!....Just ONE More Day!

For those of you who just stumbled upon this blog or clicked on the wrong link, you're probably asking yourself "one day until what?".  Well I'll fill you in, only one more day until the season 4 premiere of Glee.  Gleeks this is what we've been waiting for, our questions about Finn, Rachel, Kurt, and everyone else will finally be answered within the next few months.  I know you're anxious and squealing at the top of your lungs (maybe that's just me), because we still have a little over 24 hours until the first episode "The New Rachel", but here's something to bring that anxiety down, a Glee scene has been released.  Glee's cover of "Call Me Maybe" is out and from what we can see there is some fierce competition going on to be the glee club's "New Rachel".  Check the video out and don't forget Glee (add a little squeal) is on tomorrow at 9 ET/ 8 CT on Fox.

Will Finchel Last Forever?

I'm not going to lie, as much as I love Finchel (the Finn and Rachel relationship) I have been extremely supportive of Rachel's other relationships on Glee.  My favorite happened to be none other than St. Berry (Jessie St. James and Rachel Berry), however with a new season and the cliffhanger break-up at the end of season 3 (Finn's storyline is under lock and key, security sensors, and who knows what else), there might be another couple brewing and it's another "Berry" relationship that I might love.  Dean Geyer's new character, Brody, is supposed to be an upperclassmen at NYADA who takes an interest in Rachel, and boy would I love to be Rachel.  Why? Well if you haven't been looking for Glee spoilers or news you definitely need to watch one of the promo videos for the first episode of Glee.  The video shows you some of the new and returning characters, and it also shows the glee club trying to find "The New Rachel", or their new star.  But in all of this I was completely distracted by something else, the bathroom scene where Rachel and Brody meet.  I replayed this scene over and over and most of that had to do with Brody wearing nothing but a towel. I know I was not the first one to swoon over him and I definitely won't be the last, so watch the promo and tell me what you think.

Did You Miss It?...

As you might have known today was the Glee Listening Pary, where you had the opportunity to listen to five songs from Season 4 of Glee. I'm pretty sure I wasn't the only Gleek doing this but I was getting extremely anxious waiting for the Ustream to actually start streaming and even though according to my clock the stream started about 2 minutes later I was okay as long as I received what I was promised. Well they did not disappoint and if you missed it because of technical difficulties, you were at work, or something else....here's the list of songs...Spoiler Alert!

1. Mash-up: Dance Again/Americano- J.Lo/Gaga- sung by Kate Hudson
For those of you who have did not know, Kate Hudson will be a special guest on Glee. She will be playing Rachel Berry's dance instructor in NYADA, and trust me she's anything but nice. As a fluent spanish speaker I definitely enjoyed and appreciated this song because Kate Hudson made an attempt to sing it, I did find myself trying to get into it at the beginning but I was almost up and practicing my Zumba moves by the end of it.

2. It's Time- Imagine Dragons- sung by Darren Criss (Blaine)
I have always loved Blaine's voice and definitely see how he was competition for Finn (when it came to solos) when he joined the glee club and I see how he could become "The New Rachel". In this song he definitely shines and I love it, it kind of reminds me of when he sang YOUNG THE GIANT'S "Cough Syrup".

3. Mash-up: Boys/Boyfriend - Britney Spears/Justin Bieber-sung by Darren Criss (Blaine) and Kevin Mchale (Artie)
There have been several tribute episodes to artists and even an album, well this tribute has already been done once but another one was defintely talked about. Who was the episode dedicated to? None other than Britney Spears. In this song Artie and Blaine mash-up Britney's 2009 Boys and Bieber's current hit Boyfriend. I'm not a huge Bieber fan but I definitely like what Artie and Blaine did with this, and I could definitely see them starting their own separate boy band.

4. Gimme More- Britney Spears- sung by Heather Morris (Brittany)
Most of you probably remember this as Britney's comeback song, and sure enough our own Brittany will be singing this song and almost making a comeback of her own (it's not often that Brittany gets solo and as a second year senior we'll see if Britney finally graduates). This was another song I wanted to get up and start dancing to, in fact I might download it later and do some of my Zumba moves to it. Could this solo mean Brittany is also fighting to be the next Rachel Berry?

5. Call Me Maybe- Carly Rae Jepsen- sung by Glee Club
Let's be serious, you've spent your entire summer listening to this song and when you're in the car alone you sing it at the top of your lungs. And I'm not going to lie when this song came over the stream I started singing it but had to stop, my roommate threatened to beat me up if I kept singing it and it didn't help that when the Glee Listening Party stream started I squealed and scared her. I could pinpoint a few voices in this song but decided to write the Glee Club because some of the voices were new and I didn't know who they belonged to, but it's okay because they did an awesome job and it's another song that will definitely be added to my Ipod.

There you have it, a preview to some of the Season 4 songs of Glee, and if you can find the songs on Youtube or find the video stream definitely take a listen. That's it and don't forget to tune into the new season of Glee Thursday Sept. 13 at 9 pm ET/ 8 pm CST on FOX.

Our Favorite Foreign Exchange Student Might Be Back!

Over the last 3 seasons of Glee we've seen a couple of exchange students. The first one was Charice Pempengco who played Sunshine Corazon, a student from the Philippines in the second season.  Charice's character was hoping to join McKinley's glee club, New Directions, until Rachel sent her to a crackhouse and she transferred to Carmel High, McKinley's rival school.  And though at the end of season 2 Rachel made up for what she had done, we never saw more of Charice's character.

Last season's foreign exchange student was Damien McGinty, one of the winners of The Glee Project, and best known as Rory Flanagan from Ireland.  The plan was to have him appear on a few episodes of Glee but was later signed on for more, however after the season 3 finale it was unsure of what would be of him.  During the summer there was no confirmation that he would be back but according to The Gleeksource he might just be returning to Glee after all.  Of course nothing's for sure, so read on to find out more: http://www.gleeksource.com/Season-4/September-2012/Damien-McGinty-May-Be-Returning-To-Glee.aspx

What do you think of Damien's return to Glee?

Will his character's fate be that of Charice's character?

Get Well Soon!

According to RumorFix one of Glee's cast members became ill and filming had to be stopped...who could it have been? It was one of our Glee hunks...Cory Monteith, who plays Finn in the TV show.  This could only mean one thing, Finn is back and this episode must be based around him and his new storyline, considering the fact that he was in just about all the scenes.  That makes me happy to hear,I don't mean his illness but his storyline, which has been kept under lock and key throughout the whole summer. So,with that in mind let's hope he gets better soon, because the suspense is killing me. GET WELL SOON, CORY MONTEITH!
